You tried all the acne products so far without any results? Want a permanent and sure-fire way of treating your acne problem?

You see, most of the conventional acne treatments such as gels, creams, antibiotics, and Accutane do not work because they do not treat the root cause of acne. They just manage the symptoms. Thus, they leave you frustrated as the acne continue to haunt you year after years. Worst of all, the acne treatment drugs that you are taking may cause significant harm to your body and skin.

Acne is not a skin disease, but it is caused by a combination of factors. Toxins, hormonal imbalance, and clogged pores are the common causes of acne. If you have a treatment that addresses these 3 main issues, you will have clearer skin and a healther body, guaranteed.

Let's find out more about these common causes of acne and learn how you can address them.

Sources of toxins that lead to acne

Our bodies are constantly bombarded by toxins. Toxins enter our body from the food we eat, the polluted air we breath in, the water we drink, and the chemicals from the personal and beauty products that we use.

Unfortunately, we live in such a toxic environment that, unless you live in a remote place far away from urban areas and grow your own food, it's very difficult to prevent toxins from entering your body.

How the toxins cause acne

The body can eliminate toxins through the kidney, liver, and bowels. But when your body is bombarded with too much toxins, the major organs such as the kidneys, livers, and bowels get overloaded and cannot efficiently remove all of the toxins from your system.

And when your major channels of toxins elimination are overloaded, the body resort to the skin as alternative channel of toxins elimination. The skin then becomes a fertile ground for the acne bacteria to thrive in since bacteria is highly attracted to toxins. What happens next is acne breakouts. Toxins are harmful for the body and it can lead to other harmful health issues besides acne. It is best to remove these harmful toxins from the body on a regular basis.

How clogged pores can lead to acne outbreaks

Another contributor of acne is clogged pores. When the sebaceous glands produce excessive amount of oil, the extra oil mixes with dead skin cells, which can clog the pores.

The clogged pore makes the perfect environment for acne bacteria to thrive. This bacteria in the plugged follicle eventually leads to inflammation of the skin and cause pimples or acnes. Acne can be either mild, moderate or severe. For severe cases of acne, you should go visit a skin doctor.

As you can see, the 2 main contributors of acne are toxins build up in the body and excessive oil which clog the pores.

Below, I summarize the factors which lead to oily skin and clogged pores and toxins build-up.

  • Hormones: The number one causes of acne is the production of sex hormones, known as androgen, that begins at puberty. This explains why most acne sufferers are adolescents and teens. Hormones are also responsible for the acne flare-ups during menstruation and pregnancy. When the sebaceous gland is stimulated by androgens, it produces extra sebum or oil. In its journey up the follicle toward the surface, the sebum mixes with common skin bacteria and dead skin cells that have been shed from the lining of the follicle. While this process is normal, the presence of extra sebum in the follicle increases the chances of clogging and acne.
  • Stress: can also cause the production of hormones, such as cortisol, which can aggravate acne. Stress brings upon different hormone levels. With hormone changes, the body prompts the skin's oil glands to enlarge, secreting more oil. This leads to white heads, black heads and pimples.
  • Oily or heavy make up: Heavy make-up clogs the pores and oily make-ups add more oil, which only makes the problem worse if you already have oily skin.
  • Medications and steroids: Vitamins are good for your body, but an excess of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 can be toxic and can lead to acne flare-ups. It is best to not overuse these vitamins.
  • Food: For some people, a diet that is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars can trigger the body to produce more oil, which make their acne problem worse. For others, eating lots of processed food can cause breakouts since these food fill the body with toxins.
  • Over abrasive cleansing: Harsh exfoliators can damage skin and spread the infections.
  • Picking and squeezing: Picking and squeezing your pimple, especially if your fingers are dirty, can actually send the infection deeper into the skin and can cause scarring.
  • Genetics: If you parents have bad skin, you may inherit the bad skin from them. Severe cases of cystic acne usually come from heredity.

Available Treatment for Acne

There are many treatment options available, from over the counter products such as Oxy-10, Clearasil, ProActiv to doctor prescribed medicine such as Accutane and antibiotics.

But do they work? As you already know, some of these treatment options are ineffective since they only treat the symptoms of acne and not the source. Furthermore, they have side effects that may cause long term, irreversible damage to the body and the skin.

To effectively treat acne, you must fight acne from both inside the body as well as outside the body. It starts with reducing the amount of toxins in your body and then taking care of the body and the skin through proper diet, skin care, exercise, and rest.
