If you have mild acne problem, consider yourself lucky!

Acne is a painful problem and treating acne can cost lots of money and time. But since you have a mild case of acne, you just need to make a few adjustments in your diet and your skin care routine to achieve clear, acne-free skin.

The Proven Natural Plan to Treat Mild Acne & Achieve Clear Skin

To effectively prevent acne and achieve clear, acne-free, & beautiful skin, you have to make adjustment to these 3 aspects of your life: The food you eat, skin care routine, and lifestyle:

If you have the dedication and discipline to make the necessary adjustments, you will not only achieve beautiful skin, but a healthier body as well!

Skin Care Routine to Treat Mild Acne

Proper skin care is the first step to preventing acne and achieving clear skin. Following proper skin care will keep your pores clean and unclogged, preventing acne bacteria from multiplying.

Most people either have oily, dry, or combination skin. Use high quality skin care products that are appropriate for your skin type. One popular line of skin care products I know of is Mario Skin Care Products.

Follow the guideline below:

  • Wash your face with a gentle cleanser twice a day to remove all the oil, dirt, dead skin cells. You should use the Clarisonic Skin Cleansing Device to provide you with a better cleanse. The Clarisonic is designed to provide you with a gentle cleansing that is 6X more effective that manual cleansing. It is very effective at removing dead skin cells, oil, and preventing your pores from clogged. Using the Clarsisonic regularly will prevent blackheads, pimples, acne and give you smooth looking skin.

  • Apply moisturizer to keep your skin moist. Dried skin will cause the oil gland to produce excessive oil so it's important to keep your skin moist. In day time, apply a noncomedogenic (won't clog pores) moisturizer with at least SPF15. If you happen to be out in the sun, then be sure to use the SPF30 version. Additionally, be sure to use a night time moisturizing cream before you go to bed.
  • Steam your face & body regularly. If you have membership to a gym, you should go to the steam or sauna room 2-3X a week. Each session should last 15-20 minutes. This exercise helps to open up the pores and cleanse your pores, preventing the pores from getting clogged.

Note: You should never touch your pimple or try to squeeze/pop your pimple. Touching and picking the pimple will spread the bacteria around and aggravate your acne condition. Squeezing and popping can cause scarring of the skin. So it's best to leave your skin alone and then it heal by itself.

Proper Dieting - Food to Eat and Food to Avoid

Have you heard of the expression, "You are what you eat?" Well, it's true! What we put on our body greatly affects our health and our skin.

Follow the following dieting tips for optimal health and skin beauty!

  • Eliminate or reduce consumption of fried, greasy, fast food & processed food. These types of food load the body with toxins and put a big burden on the organs in your body.
  • Reduce consumption of sweet and sugary food and carbs-rich food such as candies, pastries, bagels, white bread, sodas, white rice/pastas. These food trigger an increase of hormonal activities.
  • Reduce intake of dairy products. Some people are allergy to dairy products. Additionally, the cow that produces the milk are often injected with hormones.
  • Minimize consumption of alcohol. Taking shots after shots of liqueurs at clubs and bars may seem fun at the moment, but your skin will suffer afterward. Alcohol damages the liver.
  • Eat organic and fresh fruits and veggies as much as possible. Fruits and Veggies are loaded with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which help to protect and nourish the skin.
  • Include fiber in your diet. Fibers help with digestion process, effectively removing toxins from the body. Build-up of toxins are the main cause of acne and other skin problems. Food rich in fibers include whole grains, oatmeals, beans, lentils.
  • Eat more fish and less red meat.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day - Water nourishes the body, helps to keep your skin hydrated, and helps to remove toxins from the body. You should aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day!
  • Additionally, you may want to rejuvenate the liver by drinking an herbal detox tea. By rejuvenating and cleansing the liver of toxins, your hormone is more in balance and the body will produce less oil.

Lifestyle changes to give you better skin and health

The following lifestyle changes can have a dramatic impact on your health and your skin. I encourage you to try to follow as much of the below guidelines as possible!

  • Manage Stress - Stress stimulates the hormones, which triggers the oil gland to produce excessive oil. Stress also slows down the body's healing process and weakens the immune system. Manage stress better by getting adequate rest and sleep (at least 7-8 hours of sleep), do yoga & deep breathing exercises, and spending quality time with friends & family.
  • Exercise at least 3 times a week! There are just too many healthy benefits to exercising. It reduces stress, promotes better circulation, and releases chemicals that make you feel happier. You should aim to exercise at least 3-4 times a week. If you don't have chance to go to the gym, you can just take brisk walk around the park or around the neighborhood for 30 minutes.
  • Maintain a positive outlook on life! By maintaining a positive outlook, your body will feel better and your immune system will be stronger. Additionally, it will positively impact the people around you as well!
  • Quit smoking!
